Board Director

Matthew Hays is an experienced leader, former Marine Corps Officer and strategic business professional. Throughout his distinguished 24-year military career, Hays was instrumental in utilizing a multi-million-dollar resource budget to empower U.S. personnel and United States Indo-Pacific Command partners operating in an austere environment; served as the liaison officer to the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) immediately following the 2011 Tōhoku Tsunami, coordinating U.S. and JGSDF efforts to provide disaster response and relief; and established strong partner relationships with foreign governments, U.S. federal government and non-government agencies while inspecting 19 bases and facilities to initiate improvements aligned with the organizational strategy. During his time in the U.S. Marine Corps, he developed strong partnerships with foreign governments, U.S. federal agencies, and non-government organizations, gaining expertise in operations and organizational strategy.

Since 2016, Matthew has taken on various leadership roles in business, including lead project manager, territory manager, and now business development partner in Colorado. His expertise in navigating complex challenges, driving results, and leading cross-functional teams has made him a key player in every role.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Japanese from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MBA in strategy and organizational leadership from the University of Pittsburgh. Beyond his professional work, Matthew is committed to serving his community and fellow veterans. He is a board member for the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial Foundation and currently serves as the director of outreach for the Mile Hi Chapter of the Project Management Institute. With a profound commitment to supporting his fellow veterans in their post-service careers and education, Matthewis enthusiastic about leveraging his expertise to make a meaningful impact.
